爺爺雖然沒辦法跟小男孩一樣，認得書裡的文字，讀出詩人筆下所描寫的事物，但爺爺用生命去體驗所有的美好，而這一切，都將透過爺爺那雙與土地最親近的大手，漸漸移交到小男孩等待茁壯的小手中。
