After returning home from the war in South Africa, a cavalryman named Dodd had lost touch with his army mate named Godfrey. Dodd decided to pay a visit to Godfrey’s home in the countryside to look for his friend, but Godfrey’s father claimed dubiously that his son had gone on a trip around the world and refused to give more detail.
