Off the coast of Chesapeake Bay, two young boys meet a scientist interested in cleaning up the water. After learning of the benefits cleaning up the bay would bring for animals, plants, and people, the boys can’t resist helping the scientist in his studies.
But even as they know they are doing good work for the environment, the boys fear the risk of their parent’s disapproval of an outsider’s interference in their means of earning a living.
