About the Author

Swapna Haddow is the award-winning author of the 'Dave Pigeon' and 'Bad Panda' books and was an official World Book Day author in 2023.

She loves writing about boisterous animals and madcap adventures and is currently working with Faber & Faber, Macmillan, Oxford University Press and Scholastic, writing everything from fiction to nonfiction and picturebooks to middle grade historical fiction.

Swapna also writes the 'Ballet Bunnies' series and 'Reggie Rabbit' series under the pseudonym 'Swapna Reddy'.

Swapna lives in New Zealand with her husband, son and their dog, Archie. When she’s not writing she is usually reading, dreaming about living on a boat or eating Jaffa Cakes.

About the Illustrator

Sheena Dempsey is a children's author and illustrator from Ireland. She has illustrated over thirty books since 2013 and has been shortlisted for or won several awards including the An Post Irish Book Awards, Sainsbury's Children Book Awards and Sheffield Book Awards.

Pablo and Splash is her first graphic novel series. The main characters are time-travelling penguins who are polar opposites but besties for life. (Bloomsbury, January 18th 2024). She is the illustrator of Dave Pigeon (written by Swapna Haddow), Yoga Babies (Fearne Cotton) and The Magic Moment (Niall Breslin).

She lives in Folkestone, Kent with her husband Mick and their beloved greyhound Jeremy.
