Troy is burning. In the sorrowful darkness of the city’s final night, Aeneas flees with his aged father on his shoulders and his young son by the hand. The gods have decreed a glorious destiny for him: from his bloodline will arise the people who will found Rome and give birth to one of history’s greatest empires. But first, he must endure the perils of a long and treacherous journey and, upon reaching the promised land, fight a brutal and hard-won war.
