Description
By: Jane Walker, Darin Henry | Series: Doom & Gloom Volume 1
Two cunning cats named Doom and Gloom set out to run their own evil empire, but an animal-whispering niece has other plans! A spooky, silly, and laugh-out-loud graphic novel for young comic readers.
Despicable Me + cats + comics = Doom & Gloom!
Doom and Gloom are the purr-fect partners in crime.
At least, they were, until Doom maybe-possibly-definitely caused their boss, Ivan Wicked’s, unfortunate mid-heist demise.
Now the precious cats are in search of a new home. They need someone devoted to evil—like their former master was—and, preferably, someone who can open the wet food.
But their plans hit a snag when Ivan’s overly cheerful niece, Petunia, decides to adopt them no matter how many times they hiss, scratch, or flee.
Determined to prove their wicked worth, the pair’s search for a suitably sinister overlord pits them against a beauty queen crocodile, a pair of obnoxious poodles, and a rogue therapy dog with mind-control ambitions . . . until Petunia lands in the middle of the mayhem, forcing them to choose between saving the day or their street cred.
With full-color art, snappy humor, and a deliciously mischievous tone, Doom & Gloom: The Worst Is Yet to Come launches a new graphic novel series that’s equal parts spooky, silly, and irresistible.
Themes include found family, solving problems, and (of course) wicked fun!
“A wickedly funny graphic novel, perfect for fans of Despicable Me and Bunnicula.”
—Terrance Crawford, bestselling author of the Piggy series and Afro Unicorn graphic novels
