Cuando recibe una llamada de su antiguo jefe, sabe que le va a meter en un lío, pero no puede evitar coger el teléfono. Tras descubrir a Mateu Vidal ahogado en vino, López sabe que se acabó su tranquilidad.

When its owner, Mateu Vidal, the patriarch of a powerful line of businessmen, disappears somewhere on the vast estate, his children are not content to rely on the local police. They want the best, and now.
A POLICEMAN IN CRISIS
López is a newcomer in Empordà, in northern Catalonia, seeking an escape from his stressful job with an elite National Police squad. When he gets a call from his former boss, he knows it can only mean trouble, but he can’t help but pick up. After discovering Mateu Vidal drowned in a vat of wine, López understands that his peaceful interlude is at an end.
A SETTING AS IDYLLIC AS IT IS UNSETTLING
At the hands of J. L. Romero, Empordà – land of wine and windswept coasts – becomes the the site of a murder investigation that will bring López face to face with the ghosts of the past: the country’s and his own. A vibrant tale in which old resentments, as twisted and buried as the roots of the region’s famous grapevines, come to light in unexpected ways.
